Specialization Training

Specialization Training is based on the premise that an intense amount of work for just one body part at a time for a moderate period will cause your body to adapt to the new movement and increase the strength of that muscle exponentially. This is a true theory- The human body will work to become more efficient at it's function, in this case: a particular exercise of your choice.

Have you ever heard the phrase, "Too much of a good thing can't be good for you"? Well, that's a true theory as well. Essentially, this book gives several example exercises that cover a few major muscle groups (such as chest, arms, or quads) and goes on to describe how often the exercises should be performed. Rather than getting into the gym and spending an hour or so and covering several muscle groups, you focus on a single exercise with a single muscle twice per day!

Again: Yes. This will work. However, this is more of a theoretical application, rather than a useful workout program. Maybe if you were already in amazing shape, like a pro athlete, and you had a couple weaker muscle groups that needed work- this would be for you. However, as a general fitness program, it's terrible. No nutritional information or anything pertaining to improving anything but ONE MUSCLE at a time will be found here! This is not the way to train. If general (and even advanced) fitness is what you need, you should be doing exercises that use several major muscle groups at a time.

Finally, have you heard of your local "Gym Idiot"? He's the guy who's training schedule looks like this...

Monday: Biceps
Tuesday: Biceps
Wednesday: Biceps
Thursday: Chest
Friday: Biceps

Do you think he's going to see massive improvement, lost weight, and look great? He won't. He will work endlessly at muscles that cannot improve any more because the rest of them aren't up to the same standard.

This product receives a decent score because for a very small percentage of sports athletes, it will help. However, for the vast majority of the population, it won't do a thing and will only make yo more prone to injury in the long run.
