Grow More Muscle: Natural Testosterone Boosting Tips
Testosterone is essentially a natural steroid hormone which causes your body to grow muscle, and the amount your body can produce will determine how much muscle you can build.
An increase in testosterone can produce many or all of the following benefits...
- An increase in muscular size and strength
- Lower levels of body fat
- Better sex drive and sexual endurance
- Increased mood levels
- Lower “Bad” cholesterol
This is some pretty amazing stuff, and it’s natural! No sense in spending thousands of dollars on anabolic steroids which can be potentially harmful when you can simply increase the level of your own natural steroids (though you won’t gain 40 pounds of muscle in a month- that’s not healthy). The following 10 steps can be used to allow you to enjoy everything from the list above.
- Use Compound Exercises: Exercises such as squats, dips, bench presses, deadlifts, chin ups, rows, and military presses all put your body under great stress and use several major muscle groups. If you do some of all of these, your body will literally be forced to increase the amount of testosterone available.
- Give it Your All: Give 100% and work until you can’t push any more. The only way to put on measurable gains is to train hard!
- Work Your Lower Body Too: Lower body training is just as important as upper body training. It’s a fact that there is a relation between how much muscle on your chest, back, and arms can be gained depending on how much work you put into your legs as well. Because there are such major muscle groups worked in leg exercises, your body will produce more testosterone which will, in turn, allow you to build your upper body further.
- Essential Fatty Acids: Eat peanuts, fish, and healthy oils from seeds and olives.
- Less Soy: Soy protein serves nothing except for boosting your body’s estrogen levels, which will cancel out any testosterone boosting steps you may be taking.
- Drink Less Alcohol: Alcohol has a negative effect on testosterone levels, so cut down how many night you go out and ‘party it up’ with your good friend Jack Daniels or Captain Morgan. Plus, alcohol has a ton of unnecessary calories which have no nutrients in them, which will only serve to make you gain weight in the long run. Personally, I make sure I hit the gym and at least make an effort the next day- that'll not only help work off some of those calories, but it'll help clear your head.
- Healthy Green Vegetables: Eating broccoli, turnips, cabbage, and other vegetables will all increase testosterone and lower estrogen. Never would have guessed, eh?
- Don’t Stress Out: Your body releases chemicals when you’re stressed which will have a detrimental effect on your testosterone production.
- Have More Sex: When you are stimulated, your body releases endorphins which help to increase testosterone. The exact chemical which causes this is called oxytocin.
- Get Lots of Sleep: When you don’t sleep enough, your body releases the exact same chemicals as if you were stressed, which again causes a negative effect on your testosterone.
Start incorporating a couple of these easy steps as soon as possible, and you will see significant changes within a short period of time. If you can’t follow any of these specifically, just make sure you’re eating a clean diet and getting lots of rest- the least this will do is keep you healthy!
